Our Experienced Attorneys Fight For Children Who Were Poisoned by Lead

Let Us File Your Lawsuit!

If your child received a blood test showing lead in their blood, is showing symptoms of lead poisoning or you believe they may have consumed drinking water containing lead, then please complete the above questionnaire provided on this page. You may be entitled to compensation. Our attorneys will be quick to respond, and the consultation will be free and confidential.

Lead is a neurotoxin that can poison a child's brain if it is ingested. The effects of lead poisoning are drastic and permanent, and more severe the younger the child. Children that have been lead poisoned suffer from acute learning disabilities; diminished IQ scores; and struggle to stay on grade level as they progress through school. Lead poisoned children are far less likely to graduate from high school, go to college, or get a post-graduate degree than those who aren't. There is absolutely no cure for lead poisoning.

Our lawyers have recovered more than one hundred million dollars on behalf of lead poisoned children for their diminished earning capacities as adults; the shame and embarrassment of being left-back, picked on and made to feel less than, and for medical monitoring.

If the water source for drinking water is corrosive, the metal pipes carrying the water may corrode and leach copper and lead into the water supply. There is no safe level for lead. Once in a child’s bloodstream, lead’s damage is irreversible, often causing brain damage and delaying cognitive development.

Corrosive Water Source = Lead Poisoning

Benton Harbor residents are still suffering from the effects of lead-tainted water because of years of "deliberate indifference" of Michigan state department directors, city leaders and others, according to allegations in a new federal lawsuit.

We are investigating an ongoing Benton Harbor water crisis, where lead levels have exceeded state and federal drinking water standards since late 2018. Lead water pipes continue to corrode throughout the southwest Michigan community, sending potentially dangerous particulates into the homes of its residents.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is no safe level of lead exposure for children. Exposure to high amounts of the toxic metal includes brain and nervous system damage, slowed growth and development, learning and behavior problems and hearing and speech problems. Exposure has also been tied to lower IQ and decreased attention span and performance among schoolchildren.

BENTON HARBOR, MI — Testing over the past three years shows an uptick in elevated blood lead levels among children in the county that’s home to Benton Harbor, where the state of Michigan has been distributing bottled water out of concern with lead in the municipal supply.
